The update comes shortly after Aradjet announced that it would replace its daily flight from Santo Domingo/Las Américas with the Punta Cana-Buenos Aires route, effective 28 October 2024.
According to Aerolíneas Argentinas’ website, the number of flights from Buenos Aires Ezeiza will increase from four to five times a week from November to December, and then to six times a week (every day except Sundays) from January to March. These flights will be operated using Airbus A330-200 aircraft with a capacity of 269 passengers.
Flights from Córdoba will resume on 13 September 2024, initially operating twice weekly, increasing to four times weekly from January to March 2025. These flights will provide connections to other destinations within Argentina and will be operated by Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft, capable of carrying 170 passengers.
In addition, Aerolíneas Argentinas will operate one weekly flight from both Tucumán and Rosario airports from January to March 2025. These routes will also be operated with Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft.
The airline plans to operate 12 flights per week between Argentina and the Dominican Republic during the summer, offering a total of 5,268 seats per week.
The airline has begun advertising these routes on its website, but tickets are not yet available for purchase.
Aerolíneas Argentinas currently operates direct flights to Punta Cana. According to ANAC Argentinas, the airline carried 44,365 passengers to the popular Caribbean destination in the second half of 2024, achieving a load factor of 97%, indicating strong demand for these flights.
