Thanks to a new update to its reservations system, Aerolíneas Argentinas will increase service to Punta Cana (PUJ) in the Dominican Republic for the summer season 2024/25. The airline will add new frequencies from Córdoba (COR) and Buenos Aires/Ezeiza (EZE) and introduce two new routes departing from Tucumán (TUC) and Rosario (ROS).
The update comes one week after Arajet replaced its daily flight from Santo Domingo/Las Americas (SDQ) with a Punta Cana (PUJ)-Buenos Aires service effective October 28, 2024.
According to the national airline’s website, it plans to increase flights from Buenos Aires/Ezeiza from four to five times a week in November and December, then to six times a week (every day except Sundays) from January to March. Operations will continue with Airbus A330-200 aircraft that can accommodate 269 passengers.
Meanwhile, from Cordoba, flights will resume with two weekly flights on September 13, 2024, increasing to four weekly flights between January and March 2025. The flights to Punta Cana will provide connections to other points in the interior of Argentina and will be operated by Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft with a capacity of 170 passengers.
Finally, from January to March 2025, Aerolíneas Argentinas will operate weekly flights from Tucumán (TUC) and Rosario (ROS). Both destinations will be operated with Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft.
The airline will operate 12 flights per week between Argentina and the Dominican Republic, with a weekly capacity of 5,268 seats during the summer.
The company is already advertising it on its website, but tickets are not yet available for purchase.
