A Missouri father has been pranked so successfully that his wife and children plastered a large picture of him on his checked luggage, making it easier for him to spot it as it came off the conveyor belt.
Kelsey Thorne, 29, played a prank on her father, Mike Vaughn, during a family trip to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic.
Thorne said her father is color blind and sometimes has trouble finding his belongings.

“My mother, Carrie Vaughn, and I used to joke about how long it would take my dad to find his luggage on vacation because he is color blind,” Thorne, a DeSoto resident and U.S. Army medic, told Fox News Digital in an email.
She added, “[We]came up with the idea to put a giant sticker on his suitcase to speed up the process.”
The job was easy to do, she said, because Thorne also owns a shop that sells embroidery and custom items.

Thorne said he made the stickers the next day and that his mother and brother, Taylor, came up with the plan.
“While my mom was distracting my dad, I stuck stickers on his suitcase and loaded it into the car,” she said.
“My dad dropped us off at the front (of the airport) on the way to the parking lot so we could sneak his suitcase out.”

Thorne posted a TikTok video of her father’s reaction to the surprise as the family arrived at baggage claim at Punta Cana International Airport, which has been viewed more than 8.2 million times.
“At first he was confused because people kept laughing and looking at him and yelling, ‘It’s a suitcase,'” she said.

Thorne said her father loved the stickers when he realized what the family had done.
Thorne added that her father is a real estate agent and was interested in seeing if a similar sticker was available for his business.
“I don’t think anybody stopped laughing,” she said.

Thorne said she never expected the video to go viral, but she’s “glad people are enjoying it” as much as she and her family have.
“We all need some funny, wholesome moments every now and then,” she said.
