PUNTA CANA – With the theme “A Party for the Tastes”, the Puntacana Resort will host its first-ever Culinary Weekend from March 7 to 10, exclusively showcasing the culinary expertise of five celebrity chefs from Latin America.
Internationally renowned chefs Mitsuhara Tsuruma, Márcia Taha, Benjamin Nast, Álvaro Clavijo and Janaina Torres will prepare a selection of exquisite dishes, ensuring attendees an unforgettable dining experience.
The gastronomic extravaganza will kick off on Thursday, March 7 with a cocktail event showcasing the weekend’s chefs. Appetizers will be presented by Bolivian Chef Márcia Taja, Latin America’s New Female Chef of 2021, and Chilean Chef Benjamin Nast, named in Latin America’s 50 Best Restaurants.
The culinary journey continues on Friday, March 8, when Japanese-American gastronomic expert Chef Mitsuhara Tsuruma will present dishes that fuse Japanese and Peruvian influences. Chef Tsuruma, owner of the renowned Peruvian restaurant MAIDO, has held the top spot as Peru’s best restaurant in the SUMMUM guide, and also ranked 3rd and 11th in the lists of Latin America’s 50 Best Restaurants and The World’s 50 Best Restaurants, respectively.
Saturday, March 9, will showcase the talents of chef Janaina Rueda, ranked 4th in the “50 Best” restaurants in Latin America, and the culinary skills of Márcia Taha.
The culinary weekend will conclude on Sunday, March 10th and will feature inventive dishes from Chef Alvaro Clavijo, who was ranked second in Latin America’s “50 Best” Restaurants, as well as the return of Benjamin Nast.
