“At Alajet, we are committed to making the Dominican Republic the new aviation hub on the continent and will soon be serving other destinations from Punta Cana, including Buenos Aires, Quito, Guayaquil, Bogota, Medellín and Cartagena, at the most competitive prices on the market,” Victor Pacheco Mendez, CEO and founder of Alajet, said in a press release.

Additionally, Pacheco Mendez said the hub at Las Americas International Airport (LAIA) near Santo Domingo will continue to operate normally, and flights to many destinations served by Alajet will be operated from both airports.
“Our goal is to offer all Alajet passengers as many options and destinations as possible, such as in Mexico and Colombia, where we fly from both airports and operate daily buses connecting travelers by land, increasing the number of connections we can make,” he said.
Punta Cana airport will be Aradjet’s third destination in the Dominican Republic. In addition to LAIA, the airline also operates scheduled flights to Cibao International Airport and is considering adding flights from Puerto Plata Airport.
