PUNTA CANA – Club Med has announced exciting developments across its international portfolio, including new hotels in the Gulf state and extensive renovations to properties in the Dominican Republic and Mexico.
The iconic Club Med Punta Cana is set to open a new water park in December 2024. The park will feature thrilling water slides, splash zones and interactive water games. In addition to the water park, guests can enjoy more than 20 activities, including trapeze, kayaking and pickleball. Recent updates to the resort also include new family rooms, wedding venues, a beauty salon and a new dining experience at Hispaniola Restaurant.
Mexico’s Club Med Cancun will undergo an extensive renovation in 2025, transforming the main pool and terrace area into a spacious infinity pool overlooking the natural lagoon. A new beach bar and pool will also be added, just steps from the beach. Select Deluxe Rooms, located near the Beach Bar and Sport & Wellness Island, will be modernized with sleek designs reflecting Mayan culture and feature private balconies with ocean and lagoon views.
Club Med also announced a new partnership with renowned yoga instructor Jonah Kest, who will serve as a yoga ambassador for the brand’s North American and Caribbean resorts. The company highlighted its commitment to sustainability and responsible tourism as part of its ongoing efforts.
