Enjoy pool and ocean adventures in the sun
Just a 4.5-hour nonstop flight from Chicago, Punta Cana is a sun-seeker’s dream with temperatures hovering in the low 80s most of the year. Swimming in the beautiful ocean was our favorite activity when we visited.
There is also a main pool surrounded by lounge chairs and a children’s pool located beside the kids club area.
Exciting activities for all ages, from trapeze to archery
We recommend checking the activity rotation schedule in the Club Med app. 32 activities included, 35 choices on demand
Club Med is known for its circus school, and its Punta Cana location has a trapeze. My 13 year old daughter tried it and said it wasn’t realistic to grab the bar and swing and it wasn’t that scary hanging from her knees. We also saw children as young as 4 years old climbing ladders and riding the trapeze.
Archery is also a family favorite. It’s always fun to line up your bows and aim at a target. My daughter and I played beach volleyball with a couple from Switzerland. Much of the fun of Club Med is meeting guests from all over the world. We danced to some pretty creepy beats at a beachside Zumba class, where we both learned some new moves and laughed along the way.
There’s more! Check out arts and crafts, aquabics, and sunrise yoga classes. Enjoy golf, spa, kitesurfing and scuba diving. Learn new skills at sailing school or tennis school. Enjoy kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, pickleball, and more. Go snorkeling, take a dance class, or try your hand at bocce ball or table tennis. You can rent wingfoils (a cross between windsurfing and kiteboarding) or go horseback riding on the beach. Rent a boat and water skis or wakeboard.
Register for kids club
A big part of Club Med’s appeal is its children’s club. Children are divided into age groups 4-10, 11-13, and 14-17. Join your friends in activities like trapeze, golf, and sailing lessons. Activities for babies and toddlers are subject to an additional charge. There are also family activities such as table tennis tournaments and face painting.
night entertainment
Nights are filled with live music and shows. We enjoyed the evening circus show with jugglers and talented aerial acrobats twisting and turning. You can also book excursions outside the property to get a feel for the local surroundings. Therefore, there is little chance of getting bored.
