Corpus Christi is celebrated on the Thursday following the Feast of the Holy Trinity, which occurs 60 days after Easter Sunday and the Sunday following Pentecost. The tradition originates from the Last Supper, when on the evening of Holy Thursday, Jesus Christ used bread as his body and wine as his blood, inviting his disciples to eat it. This act preceded his holy sacrifice on the cross and venerated his holiness as God’s representative on earth.
