Club Med Punta Cana has announced it will reopen on November 9 following a fire that caused “significant damage” to the all-inclusive resort center.
“We would like to assure you that the safety, security and comfort of our guests remains our top priority,” Club Med said in a statement. “After a thorough evaluation, we have adjusted the reopening date for Club Med Punta Cana to ensure we deliver the high level of service and comfort you have come to expect.”
When the resort reopens, guests will once again be able to take advantage of the Kids Club, dine at Hispaniola Restaurant and Indigo Beach Club & Bar, participate in activities at the Circus School, and explore the adults-only Zen Oasis and exclusive collection spaces. You will be able to relax. .

The fire in question broke out in the early morning hours of September 12th at Club Med Punta Cana.
The hotel said at the time that Club Med’s local team and local authorities in the Dominican Republic were able to quickly extinguish the fire.
The fire spread throughout the complex, affecting multiple areas including the reception, main restaurant and pool bar, according to a local news report in Dominican Today.
The hotel confirmed that rooms were not affected.
No serious injuries were reported, but one guest sustained minor injuries during the evacuation and received medical attention.
Club Med offered guests staying at the resort the opportunity to end their vacation at another DR property, Club Med Miches Playa Esmeralda, less than a two-hour drive away.
The exact cause of the fire has not yet been revealed.
