Santo Domingo – Alajet Airlines has launched a new direct flight route between Punta Cana, Dominican Republic and Guayaquil, Ecuador, becoming the only airline offering direct flights between the two cities. This route operates twice weekly, with flights departing from Punta Cana on Thursdays at 7pm and Sundays at 10:13pm. Return flights from Guayaquil depart on Monday at 4:17 a.m. and Friday at 12:04 p.m. The flight will be operated using a Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft with a capacity of 185 passengers.
This new route will provide residents of Guayaquil with a direct connection to the eastern Dominican Republic, a major tourist hub in the Caribbean. Benjamin Garces, Arajet’s commercial consultant, emphasized the convenience of the service for travelers. Ramon Miró, President and CEO of Corporación Quiport, stressed the importance of new connections for both tourism and business, renewing the airport’s commitment to improving services and promoting regional development.
