The Corales Punta Cana Championship is the second of five opposite field events on the PGA Tour’s 2025 schedule. Punta Cana Resort’s 132 golfers did not qualify for the 72-player no-cut signature event at RBC Heritage, but there is still $4 million in prize money up for grabs. This week’s winner will take home $720,000.
But for about half of the field in the Dominican Republic, it’s already time to miss the cut and go home. The cut line is 3 under after 36 holes, with Joel Dahmen at the top of the leaderboard at 16 under, and the trio of Garrick Higgo, Charlie Hoffman and Michael Thorbjornsen tied for second at 12 under, four strokes back, but there are some notable players who won’t make it into the weekend. Instead, unless they plan to take a vacation in the DR, they will return to the U.S. mainland sooner than they would like.
