Hong Kong is well known as the Pearl of the Orient, so it’s no surprise that this title refers to Hong Kong’s Regent Hotel. The hotel has won numerous awards, including being named the number one best city hotel in Asia, and attracts guests including footballers like Ronaldo, who stayed there during a recent visit to the SAR.
Hotel
This hotel has a legendary history, having opened in 1980 as one of the area’s more charming hotels. Regent, which was closed in 2020 for a three-year major renovation, reopened on November 8, 2023. The redesign comes courtesy of renowned designer and architect Chee Win Lo, who exudes understated elegance. The reception counter is made of softly lit translucent onyx, and the background wall features a 15-metre-long digital art LED screen displaying soothing artwork.
Adjacent to K11 MUSEA Shopping Center and Avenue of Stars, it has the best location in terms of convenience. The building offers some of the best views of Hong Kong Island of any hotel or building, and the lighting is cleverly designed to minimize reflections on the windows, allowing guests to take in uninterrupted, sparkling views of the vibrant city.
room

With 497 rooms, the five-star flagship hotel is one of the most spacious in Hong Kong, with entry-level Classic rooms starting from 30 to 38 square meters, suites starting from 47 square meters, and the stunning Presidential Suite measuring 650 square meters. There is no doubt that it is worth paying more to book a room with a harbor view than a room with a Kowloon view.
A standout feature of the design is the daybed by the window. With the Hong Kong skyline in the background, you can relax in a corner while reading an absorbing book. The signature oasis bathroom features an immersive bathtub with a separate rainfall shower and a double vanity with premium Perricone MD toiletries. It’s especially welcome when they hand you Perricone MD face moisturizer during turndown.
Eating and drinking

Additionally, we highly recommend booking a room with Regent Club access. Located on the second floor, this special sanctuary offers VIP guests an escape from the hustle and bustle of the city, offering complimentary breakfast, afternoon tea, evening canapés and a sophisticated drinks menu. You can also expect treats like cheese and charcuterie boards and dim sum baskets.
A variety of eateries offer the finest gastronomic experience. Two Michelin-starred Lai Ching Heen offers modern Cantonese cuisine for both locals and Western tourists. The tea tasting menu is especially recommended. You will be able to chat with a tea sommelier who will share his personal experience of visiting Wuyi Mountain to see how tea leaves are collected. The dishes are exquisitely thought out and prepared, with dishes such as steamed green shrimp dumplings seasoned with purple camellia tea.

If you’re looking for an exceptional cocktail with a light bite, Qura Bar is the place to go. We have a collection of exceptional and rare spirits such as 1970’s Armagnac, and our exotic cocktails include ingredients rarely seen in other bars, such as the Flamed Emotion with carob tea, whey and pomelo. Although it may be called a bar, the food is sophisticated, with a luxurious menu including lobster puffs and mini Wagyu beef Rossini burgers.
Finally, we have partnered with famous chocolate brands Lavoratti and Moët Hennessy to offer the finest afternoon tea in our lobby lounge. Blood Orange Lavoratti’s Frozen Gelato Bonbons will enchant your taste buds. Finger sandwiches include a selection of smoked trout, avocado guacamole, and olive pearls.
wellness

The hotel’s pool terrace is the ultimate urban escape. Our helpful staff will always make sure you have an umbrella on your daybed if you need it, towels for the pool are readily available, and you’re always well-hydrated. There is also a 24-hour gym equipped with the latest Technogym equipment.
