Melia Hotels International, through a strategic partnership with Grupo Punta Cana, has announced an agreement with Paradisas Miches, a newly built luxury resort that will strengthen the company’s presence in the Dominican Republic and help position Miches as one of the country’s next major tourist destinations.
Paradisus Miches will be Melia’s 11th hotel in the Dominican Republic, including properties currently in operation and under development, and the first in this high-potential region. The resort enjoys a privileged oceanfront location with over 500 meters of pristine beachfront, seamlessly integrated into an outstanding natural setting.
Envisioned as a true retreat in the Caribbean landscape and developed with long-standing strategic partners such as the Rainieri family, this project strengthens our shared commitment to responsible and sustainable tourism development that creates lasting value for this country. This vision aligns with recent initiatives such as the Melia Bergantin Beach project in Puerto Plata and reflects the Dominican Republic’s continued focus on public-private collaboration to unlock the tourism potential of its east coastline.
The resort has 600 rooms in a variety of categories, offering a tailored experience for both adults and families. Its culinary concept includes a variety of dining venues and outdoor spaces designed to celebrate the destination and its culture. Paradisus Miches also offers multiple swimming pools, wellness areas, a full-service spa, and private facilities for meetings and events. Known for its deep connection to nature and sensory approach, the Paradisus experience will serve as the conceptual foundation for the resort, which will also incorporate exclusive branded services to provide a contemporary luxury experience.
