She is recognized as a dynamic, results-oriented leader who has played a key role in the successful opening and brand transformation of more than 10 hotels. Through her leadership, she has successfully driven revenue growth, launched innovative concepts, and established high-impact industry partnerships.
Her impressive resume includes senior commercial leadership roles at some of the hospitality industry’s most respected brands, including Marriott International, Karisma Hotels & Resorts, AM Resorts, and Melia Hotels International. Mr. Alvarez also has extensive experience in the all-inclusive sector and will join Marriott in 2024 to lead the commercial strategy of the all-inclusive resort brand. In his new role at W Punta Cana, he will lead a comprehensive commercial strategy covering brand positioning, digital marketing, public relations, revenue collaboration and key account management.

In addition to his academic background, Alvarez also holds the Certified Meeting Specialist (CMS) designation, demonstrating extensive proficiency in the hospitality field.
